Away We Go!!

Tomorrow's the day! See you all at the church bright and early tomorrow morning! We will meet there at 7:00am. Remember to either eat breakfast before you come or bring something to eat on the way.

Just to note: the trailer of gear will be returning from camp on Friday late afternoon with our 4th year overnight hike group. We will send out a message when the trailer arrives and gear can be picked up at the Kelly's.

Parent Info

Parents,

We are so excited for girls camp this year and hope that your girls are eager to come!  We will be camping at Joy’s parents home in Hanna, UT and are very grateful to them for letting us enjoy their family farm while they are serving a mission.

Dates:
For all girls: July 12-14
For 4th year girls doing the overnight hike: July 12-15
The overnight hikers will be hiking in to Grandaddy Lake, near Hanna.  It is a 3 mile hike (6 round trip).

Loading Gear Before Camp:
We will have a trailer going down to Hanna on July 11.  Please take all of you things (except what you will need with you for the drive down) to the Kelly’s home either on Sunday evening or at 9am Monday morning.

Departing: Tuesday, July 12:
Meet at the church at 7am.  Please bring a sack breakfast or snacks to eat on the drive down.  We will not be stopping for breakfast on the way down.  The drive is just over 3 hours.

Returning:
Thursday, July 14
For those not doing the overnight hike, we will be returning to Hyde Park Thursday evening between 7:00-8:00 pm.

Friday, July 15
For those doing the overnight hike, we will return to Hyde Park in the early evening on the 15th.

A few things to note:
  • We are in need of tubes and life jackets for tubing the river during camp.  If any girls have these things and can bring them, please let Joy, Jen or Kara know.
  • Secret Sisters - we will be doing secret sisters this year.  The girls will need to bring three small gifts (one for each day) and limit the total spent to $5. One of the YCL's will let young women know by Thursday who their secret sister is.

As we get closer to camp, this video about lightning safety is a short sweet (and funny) way to remind us to be careful while in the outdoors!
